The FDC1004 is a 4-channel, 16-bit capacitance-to-digital converter with active shield driver

Product Details

describe:

Capacitive sensing using grounded capacitive sensors is an extremely low power, low cost, high resolution AD620AR-REEL7 non-contact sensing technology for applications ranging from proximity sensing and gesture recognition to material analysis and remote liquid level Various applications of sensing. The sensor in a capacitive sensing system is any metal or conductor, allowing for low cost and highly flexible system design.

The FDC1004 is a high resolution, 4-channel capacitive-to-digital converter for implementing capacitive sensing solutions. Each channel has a full-scale range of ±15 pF and can handle up to 100 pF of sensor offset capacitance, which can be programmed internally or used as an external capacitor to track environmental changes over time and temperature. Large bias capacitance capability allows the use of remote sensors.

The FDC1004 also includes a shield driver for sensor shielding, which reduces EMI interference and helps focus the capacitive sensor's sensing direction. The small size of the FDC1004 allows use in space-constrained applications. The FDC1004 is available in 10-pin WSON and VSSOP packages and has an I 2 C interface for connecting to an MCU.
