LG released DualUp Monitor before CES, a new screen with a special ratio of 16:18 to make creation more efficient
Whether it is the most traditional 4:3, 16:9, or even the recently popular 21:9, 32:9 widescreen settings, most of them do not deviate from the horizontal design of the left and right width, the top and bottom, but for content creators, Such a screen ratio will have a lot of wasted space on the operation interface of the editing software, so many creators will use the upper and lower dual-screen configuration (the upper screen displays the editing image output, and the lower screen displays the software editing tools). achieve better work efficiency.
Before this CES show, LG B3J-1200 directly launched a special 16:18 ratio, a 28-inch DualUp Monitor screen (28MQ780) specially developed for video editors, which can be regarded as two 21.5-inch monitors. The 16:9 screen is integrated up and down, and the display can be adjusted through the Ergo bracket that can be steered widely to achieve the most suitable working angle. The 28MQ780 uses a Nano IPS panel with a resolution of 2560 x 2880, which allows movie editors to maximize the preview window while maintaining enough timeline and toolbar display area.
DualUp Monitor uses a special 16:18 aspect ratio, which can display a full version of the video/photo preview on the top, while still maintaining the full editing toolbar on the bottom.
In addition, in terms of display performance, the DualUp Monitor is equipped with a Nano IPS panel, which provides 98% DCI-P3 display color gamut, the brightness peak is set to 300 nits, the contrast ratio is 1000:1, and the HDR standard supports HDR 10. In the connection setting section, it provides two HDMI, one DisplayPort and one USB-C port (supports DisplayPort Alt mode and provides 96W PD power supply).
The bracket part adopts the Ergo bracket design, in addition to providing a flexible adjustment range, the clip-on base can also reduce the space occupied by the desktop.
In addition to the DualUp Monitor, LG also launched a new 32UQ85R product in the UltraFine screen style this time, which also uses a Nano IPS panel with a resolution set to 4K. In addition to the same 98% DCI-P3 display color gamut setting, the brightness and contrast are increased to 400 nit and 2000:1, and supports the Display HDR400 standard.
In the hardware design part, although the 32UQ85R adopts the traditional bracket design, LG still provides a considerable adjustment range. In addition to the vertical movement/horizontal rotation, the 32UQ85R can also be changed to a vertical display mode, which is convenient for users to browse long images. , but from the perspective of the 32UQ85R 31.5-inch 16:9 display ratio, the vertical display method should make the neck a little sore XD.
