The TPS7A13 is a small AQY414S low dropout regulator (LDO) with excellent transient response. The device can deliver 300 mA and has excellent AC performance (load and line transient response). The input voltage range is 0.7V to 2.2V and the output range is 0.5V to 2.05V with very high load, line and temperature accuracy of 1%.

The main power path is through the IN pin and can be connected to a power supply 50 mV below the output voltage. All electrical characteristics, including excellent output voltage tolerance, transient response, and PSRR, are specified for an input voltage 100 mV above the output voltage, resulting in high practical efficiency. The regulator supports very low input voltages by using a higher externally powered V BIAS rail, which is used to power the LDO's internal circuitry. For example, the supply voltage at the IN pin could be the output of a high-efficiency DC/DC buck regulator, while the supply voltage at the BIAS pin could be a rechargeable battery.

The TPS7A13 features an active pull-down circuit that quickly discharges the output when disabled and provides a known start-up state.

The TPS7A13 is available in an ultra-small 0.71mm × 1.0mm, 6-bump DSBGA package, making the device suitable for space-constrained applications.
