The TDP0604 is an HDMI 2.0 redriver that supports data rates up to 6 Gbps. It is backward compatible with HDMI 1.4b. High-speed differential inputs and outputs can be AC-coupled or DC-coupled, making the TDP0604 eligible for use as a DP++ to HDMI level translator or HDMI redriver.

The TDP0604 is a hybrid redriver that supports both source and sink applications. The AO5401E hybrid redriver can operate in linear or limited redriver function. When configured as a limited redriver, the TDP0604 differential output voltage levels are independent of the graphics processing unit (GPU) output levels, ensuring compatibility of HDMI levels on the sockets. For HDMI source applications, restricted redriver mode is recommended. When configured as a linear redriver, the TDP0604 differential output level is a linear function of the GPU output level, making the TDP0604 transparent to link training and operating as a channel shortener. For HDMI sink applications, linear redriver mode is recommended.

The TDP0604 has an integrated HPD level shifter. The HPD level translator will convert the 5V HPD signal to 1.8V or 3.3V. The level shifter output can also be configured as push, pull, or open drain. A digital display control (DDC) buffer is also integrated in the TDP0604. DDC buffers provide capacitive isolation and level shifters to step down 5V DDC levels down to 1.2V levels. The integration of level translators eliminates discrete solutions, thereby saving system cost.

The TDP0604 supports a single 3.3V rail on V CC and is available in commercial temperature (TDP0604) and industrial temperature (TDP0604I).
