Description of TLC5926
Designed for LED display and LED lighting applications, the TLC592x features open load, shorted load and over temperature detection and constant current control. The TLC592x contains a 16-bit shift register and data latches that convert serial input data to parallel output format. In the TLC592x output stage, 16 regulated current ports provide uniform and constant current for driving LEDs over a wide VF (forward voltage) variation range. The TLC592x are used in systems designed for LED display applications such as LED panels, offering great flexibility and device performance. The user can adjust the output current from 5 mA to 120 mA through an external resistor R ext, which provides flexibility for controlling the light intensity of the LED. The TLC592x are designed to provide up to 17 V at the output ports. The high clock frequency of 30 MHz also meets the system requirements for large-capacity data transmission.
