The TL331B-Q1 and TL391B-Q1 devices are next-generation versions of the industry-standard TL331-Q1 comparator. Next-generation devices offer excellent value for cost-sensitive applications with features including lower offset voltage, higher supply voltage capability, lower supply current, lower input bias current, lower propagation delay, Dedicated ESD protection unit with improved negative input voltage handling. The TL331B-Q1 is a direct replacement for the TL331-Q1 "I" and "Q" versions. The TL391B-Q1 provides an alternative pinout to the TL331B-Q1.

This device contains a single voltage comparator designed to operate from a single supply over a wide range of voltages. Dual-supply operation is also possible if the voltage difference between the two supplies is between 2V and 36V and VCC is at least +1.5V above the input common-mode voltage. Drain current is not affected by supply voltage. To achieve a wired-AND relationship, the user can connect the output to another open collector output.
