Description of TLV757P
The TLV757P Low Dropout Regulator (LDO) is an ultra-small, low quiescent current LDO that can source 1A with good line and load transient performance. The TLV757P is optimized to support an input voltage range of 1.45V to 5.5V for a variety of applications. To minimize cost and solution size, the device is available in fixed output voltages in the 0.6V to 5V range to support the lower core voltages of modern MCUs. In addition, the TLV757P has a low IQ with an enable function to minimize standby power consumption. The device features an internal soft-start feature designed to reduce inrush current that provides a controlled voltage to the load and minimizes input voltage drop during startup. In shutdown, the device actively pulls down the output to quickly release the output and ensure a known start-up state.
The TLV757P is stable when used with small ceramic output capacitors enabling a small overall solution. A high precision bandgap and error amplifier supports a typical accuracy of 1%_. All device versions feature integrated thermal shutdown protection, current limit, and low voltage lockout (UVLO). The TLV757P includes an internal overcurrent protection limit that helps reduce heat dissipation during short circuit events.
