As a typical representative of discrete manufacturing, the degree of digitization of car companies has always attracted the attention of the industry. Tang Xinbing introduced that emerging ICT technologies such as IPv6+, Wi-Fi 6, and deterministic IP are driving the digital transformation of the automotive industry. Huawei's advanced industrial network solutions have helped SAIC Ningde Base build a fully connected smart factory, providing FAW Hongqi Prosperity Plant has built a benchmark for IPv6 scale deployment and has been selected as a typical scenario for enterprise digital transformation. It is also conducting joint innovation of automobile production lines with Dongfeng Design Institute. These industrial practices have brought five inspirations to the digitalization of car companies.

Enlightenment 1: Device networking is the first step in digitalization. At present, the networking rate of industrial equipment in my country is only 23%, which has become the bottleneck of digital transformation, while the Internet penetration rate has reached 70% in the same period. Enterprises need to speed up the transformation of the network interconnection capability of the "dumb equipment" in the industrial field, realize the full connection of human, machine, material, law and ring, and realize data collection.

Enlightenment 2: The flexible production of enterprises drives the development of industrial networks towards wireless. Current 5G and Wi-Fi 6 technologies can already provide high-speed, stable, and seamless roaming wireless networks. Enterprises should realize "equipment does not fall off the root" and build flexible digital production lines to meet the individual needs of customers.

Revelation 3: The equipment in the factory must have a unified language, and all speak "Mandarin". At present, the protocol adopted by factory equipment is seven countries and eight systems, which is difficult to communicate with each other. It is necessary to realize full interoperability through IP protocol. At present, the IP of the factory is evolving from the outside to the inside and from the top to the bottom. At present, the external network of the factory has been IP-based, and the IP-based factory internal network is being advanced step by step, realizing data mining and then numerical control, and inventory compatibility.

Enlightenment 4: The intelligentization of industrial control systems is a trend. With the widespread use of AGV, AOI optical inspection and other equipment in factories, more and more industrial terminals are becoming intelligent, and industrial application ERP and MES are becoming cloud-based. The open intelligent industrial control architecture will be conducive to realizing the collaboration of the terminal, network and cloud, and realizing the integration of IT/OT.

Inspiration 5: Security requirements drive the network toward intelligence. Traditional security protection cannot meet the requirements of factory security. AI capabilities are required for behavior analysis and intention prediction, based on terminal behavior detection and analysis. Huawei uses big data + AI algorithms + expert experience to establish a baseline for normal business behavior, and uses AI behavior modeling to identify system and protocol anomalies.

Finally, Tang Xinbing emphasized that building an advanced industrial network, continuously promoting a strong network system, and accelerating the digital transformation process of industrial enterprises can better activate the potential of the digital economy. Huawei is willing to work with pioneering enterprises to carry out scenario-based innovation of the industrial Internet, build a benchmark for the industrial Internet industry, and help central enterprises in their digital transformation.
