MCP37221 Analog to Digital Converter

The MCP37221 is a 14-bit pipelined ADC with a maximum sampling rate of 200 MSPS. High accuracy of over 74 dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and over 90 dB spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) enables high-accuracy measurements on fast input signals. The device operates at a very low power consumption of 490 mW at 200 MSPS, including LVDS digital I/O. Standby power consumption is 144 mW and shutdown power consumption is 28 mW. The MCP37221-200 includes many digital processing functions that simplify system design, cost and power consumption. These include decimation filters for improved SNR, individual phase, offset and gain adjustments, and fractional delay recovery for time delay correction in multi-channel mode. Data is available through a serial DDR LVDS or parallel CMOS interface and is configured through the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI). The device is available in TFBGA-121 and VTLA-124 packages. The TFBGA-121 package is qualified for automotive applications (AEC-Q100). The MCP37221 ADC is ideal for communications instrumentation, cellular base stations, scanners, lidar and radar applications.
