RR132-1B12-552 switch sensor
The RedRock RR132 series of digital tunnel magnetoresistive (TMR) low-power magnetic switch sensors are ideal for meeting the needs of next-generation security, metrology, medical, automotive, instrumentation, industrial markets, and any application requiring magnets and sensors. TMR sensors are a popular alternative to Hall-effect sensors and reed switches due to their ultra-low power consumption (especially important in battery-powered applications), high sensitivity, miniature size, ruggedness, and ease of procurement.
Based on patented TMR technology with seamless CMOS integration, the RedRock RR132 series incorporates digital magnetic sensors ideal for medical, industrial, automotive and consumer applications. The RR132 series has an operating sensitivity range of 15 G to 30 G with omnipolar or unipolar magnetic field response. Offering a wide supply voltage range of 1.7 V to 5.5 V, this series is ideal for applications ranging from small battery-operated electronics to industrial machinery. They currently have the world's lowest average current consumption for active magnetic sensors operating from 2 Hz to 20 Hz. Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C
Target applications include liquid level detection; opening and closing detection of doors, windows or covers, water and gas meters, proximity sensing, rotation sensing, and any application that needs to wake up, open and actuate a device or product, providing a true out-of-the-box experience. These miniature sensors feature high magnetic sensitivity, high hysteresis and EMF tolerance in a small package with extremely low power consumption.
