ISL29028A Low -power ambient light and close to sensor intelligent interruption and sleep mode
ISL29028A is an environmental light and infrared to digital converter, with built -in infrared LED drives and I2C interfaces (compatible with SMBUS). The device uses two independent ADCs to measure the environmental light and closeness. The flexible interrupt solution is used for minimum micro controller. For environmental light sensors (ALS) data conversion, the ADC conversion of optical diode current (the range of light sensitivity is as high as 2000 Lax), each 100 milliseconds. ADC rejects the flickering noise caused by 50 Hz/60 Hz's artificial light source. For data conversion close to the sensor (PROX), the built -in driver opens the external infrared LED and the close -sensor ADC to convert the reflected infrared strength into numbers. This ADC inhibits environmental infrared noise (such as sunlight) and has 540 μs conversion time. ISL29028A provides approximation of ALS and typical 138μA normal working current (sensors and internal circuits are 110 μA and 28 μA outside) at 220mA current pulse, and repeats 800 milliseconds (or below) per 100 μs. ISL29028A uses hardware pins and software to indicate an interrupt incident. ALS interrupt is defined as measurement outside the window. A close interrupt is defined as a threshold limit. Users may also require ALS/PROX to interrupt once, and activate the interrupt pins up to 16 consecutive times. The design voltage of ISL29028A is from 2.25V to 3.63V-40 ° C to+85 ° C. It is packaged in a clear lead 8 lead ODFN packaging.
