The ADL5567 is a high performance dual differential amplifier optimized for intermediate frequency and dc applications. The amplifier provides low noise and excellent distortion performance of 1.2 nV/√Hz over a wide frequency range, making it an ideal driver for high-speed 16-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The ADL5567 is ideal for high performance zero-IF/composite-IF receiver designs. In addition, the device has excellent low distortion characteristics for single-ended input drive applications.
The gain of the ADL5567 is 20 dB. For single-ended input configuration, the gain reduction is 18 dB. The use of two external series resistors per amplifier extends the amplifier's gain flexibility and allows selection of any gain from 0 dB to 20 dB for differential inputs and any gain from 0 dB to 18 dB for single-ended inputs. In addition, the device maintains low distortion performance at output (VOCM) levels as low as 1.2 V at AC levels up to 2 V pp, thus providing additional CMOS ADC drive capability.
The quiescent current of the ADL5567 is typically 74 mA per amplifier when operating from a 5 V supply. When disabled, each amplifier consumes less than 3.5 mA and has ~25 dB input-to-output isolation at 100 MHz.
The device is optimized for wideband, low distortion and noise performance, resulting in unmatched spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) performance. These features, combined with the adjustable gain capability, make this device the amplifier of choice for driving a wide variety of ADCs, mixers, PIN diode attenuators, SAW filters, and multi-unit discrete devices.
Manufactured on Analog Devices' high-speed SiGe process, the ADL5567 is available in a compact 4 mm × 4 mm, 24-lead LFCSP package with an operating temperature range of ?40°C to +85°C.
