The ADA4945-1 is a low noise, low distortion, fully differential amplifier with two selectable power modes. The device operates from a wide supply voltage range of 3 V to 10 V. Low DC offset, DC offset drift, and excellent dynamic performance make the ADA4945-1 ideal for a variety of data acquisition and signal processing applications. The device is ideal for driving high-resolution, high-performance successive-approximation register (SAR) and sigma-delta analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) operating with 4 mA quiescent current (full power mode). The device also has the option of operating with 1.4 mA of quiescent current (low power mode) to adjust power consumption to the performance required for ADC driving applications. The adjustable common-mode voltage enables the ADA4945-1 to match the input common-mode voltage of multiple ADCs. An internal common-mode feedback loop provides excellent output balance and rejection of even-order harmonic distortion products. For the ADA4945-1, a differential gain configuration is achieved using a simple external feedback network consisting of four resistors, and the feedback network determines the closed-loop gain of the amplifier. The ADA4945-1 is fabricated on Analog Devices' proprietary silicon germanium (SiGe) complementary bipolar process, which enables the device to achieve very low distortion levels with input voltage noise of only 1.8 nV/√Hz (full power mode).

The ADA4945-1 is available in a RoHS-compliant 3 mm × 3 mm, 16-lead LFCSP package. The ADA4945-1 operates over a temperature range of ~40°C to +125°C.
