The ADL5580BCCZ-R7ADL5580 is a high performance, single-ended or differential amplifier with 10 dB voltage gain optimized for applications in the DC to 10.0 GHz range. The amplifier provides a low referred-to-input (RTI) noise spectral density (NSD) of 2.24 nV/√Hz (at 1000 MHz) over a wide frequency range and is optimized for distortion performance, making it a high-speed 12-bit Ideal driver to a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The ADL5580 is ideal for high performance, zero intermediate frequency (IF) and complex IF receiver designs. Additionally, the kit maintains low distortion for single-ended input driver applications.

The 10 dB gain selection for the differential input can be changed to a lower gain value by using two external series resistors. This kit maintains low distortion at an output common-mode voltage of 0.5 V and provides flexibility to drive ADCs at full levels up to 1.4 V pp.

The ADL5580 operates from +5 V and -1.8 V supplies, with typical positive and negative supply currents of +276 mA and -224 mA, respectively. The kit has a power-disable feature, and when the power is disabled, the amplifier draws 2 mA.

The ADL5580 is optimized for wideband, low distortion, and low noise operation from DC to 10.0 GHz. These attributes, along with its adjustable gain capability, make this kit the amplifier of choice for driving a wide variety of ADCs, mixers, Pin diode attenuators, surface acoustic wave (SAW) filters, and many discrete radio frequency (RF) kits.
