ISL6423B single output LNB power supply and control band I2C interface advanced satellite set -top box design
ISL6423B is a highly integrated voltage regulator, and the interface IC is specifically designed for power supply and control signal single antenna low noise module port from advanced satellite set -top boxes (STB). This device consists of a current mode Boost-PWM and a low-noise linear regulator and circuit 22kHz audio generation, modulation and I2C device interface. The device makes the entire LNB supply simple, efficient, and compact, and the external low component counts. The current mode boost converter provides a linear input voltage set to the final output regulator voltage, and usually adds 0.8V to ensure the loss of each linear regulator per linear power. This maintains a sufficient voltage range for sound injection. The output terminal provides a monotonous harmonator that adjusts the output voltage to support the antenna port work. You can control the output of each PWM in two ways. Use VTOP and VBOT to complete the control bit from the I2C or set the I2C to a lower range, that is High range, that is, 18V/19V. All the functions on the integrated circuit are written into the system register (SR) from the I2C bus. This same register can be read back, and the five I2C bits will report the diagnosis status. The separate commands I2C are sent on the upside to PWM and linear combinations to disable the output and force the closure mode. The output channel can provide continuous current. Over -current limits can be programmed with numbers as four levels. External modulation input EXTM can accept the modulation Diseqc command and transmit it symmetrically to the output.
