ADG3257
is a CMOS bus switch, which consists of four 2: 1 multi -way replica/remnants with high impedance output. This device is manufactured by CMOS process. This provides low power consumption, fast switching speed, low opening, low resistance, and allows input to connect to the output without increasing the transmission delay or generating additional ground bouncing noise. ADG3257 is powered by a single 3.3 V/5 V power supply. The control logic of each switch is shown in Table 1. These switches are two -way when enabled. In the closure state, the signal level has blocked the supply.
This bus switch is suitable for both switches and level conversion applications. It can be used to convert a level application from 3.3 V to 2.5 V from 3.3 V. In addition, a diode is connected with 5 VDD, and ADG3257 can also be used to apply 5 volt voltage to the 3.3 V -level translation.

Application
Hybrid voltage operation, level conversion
The bus switch can be used to provide solutions for the hybrid voltage system, which requires two -way interface between 5V and 3V devices. In order to connect the 5 V and 3.3 V bus, the external diode is connected in series with the 5 V power supply, as shown in Figure 4.
The diode reduced the internal gate voltage to 4.3 V. The bus switch limits the output voltage to VCC -outer diode drops VTH.
Therefore, assuming that the diode voltage drops 0.7V, and the voltage transformer voltage transformer voltage is 1V. Under the condition of high logicThe output voltage will be limited to 3.3V.
Similarly, the device can be used for two -way conversion between 3.3V and 2.5V systems.In this case, no external diode is required.The voltage of the internal voltage transformer is reduced to 1V, so when VCC 3.3V, the bus switch restricted the output voltage to VCC -1V 2.3V.
Realism switch
The four bus switches can be used to allow switching between different memory groups, thereby allowing additional memory and reducing capacitance loads.Figure 7 illustrates the adg3257 in this application.
